Pantami Declares Ahmadu Bello University International Conference

The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami moment nearly declared the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria International Conference open on Computing and Advances in Information Technology (ICCAIT) 2021.

The Minister also served as the Special Guest of Honour, Guest Speaker, and Lead Presenter of the International Conference.

Pantami spoke considerably on “ ICT as an Enabler for the Digital Economy The Nigerian Story.”

In his donation, Minister Pantami informed the gathering of the multitudinous enterprise and unknown successes recorded in the Digital Economy Sector under his stewardship similar as exploration entitlement in the area of arising technology, enhanced broadband penetration, ICT arising as the swift- growing sector of the frugality, resolving the high cost of Right of Way tax, 16 National Programs developed and being enforced, among others. He bandied the National Centre of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, which he commissioned this time.

It’s a center for all Nigerians willing to do exploration in the area of arising technologies. The Minister quoted his Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari where he stated that ICT played a critical part in pulling Nigeria out of recession.

Pantami reiterated that ICT is a critical motorist of long-term profitable development, citing a study by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) which estimates that global GDP may increase by over to 14 (the fellow of US$15.7 trillion) by 2030 as a result of the accelerating development and take-up of AI.

Minister Pantami confided the trouble of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, and the entire Operation of Ahmadu Bello University for its thickness in organizing ICT Conferences over the times.
