Quran and Guidance by Arc. Abu Jabir PenAbdul
I begin with the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Pay attention to the following verses talking about Qur’an. We are blessed to have Qur’an in our midst.
Allah says: “And truly, this (the Qur’an) is a revelation from the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists),” Qur’an 26:192
“Which the trustworthy Rûh [Jibril (Gabriel)] has brought down.” Qur’an 26:193
“Upon your heart (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that you may be (one) of the warners,” Qur’an 26:194
“in a clear Arabic language.” Qur’an 26:195
“And verily, it (the Qur’ân, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people.” Qur’an 26:196
“Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm رضي الله عنه who embraced Islâm) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?” Qur’an 26:197
Any Jew or Christian that goes through their scriptures will find therein the prophesy of his (SAW) coming.
“And if We had revealed it (this Qur’ân) unto any of the non-Arabs,” Qur’an 26:198
“who would then recite it to the deniers ˹in fluent Arabic˺, still they would not have believed in it!” Qur’an 26:199
Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Qur’ân) to enter the hearts of the Mûjrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners).” Qur’an 26:200
“They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment,” Qur’an 26:201
Some will remain obstinately opposed to Qur’an and Islam until they see the punishment of Allah at the time of death and it will be too late to accept Islam. We call on the non-Muslims to accept Islam and experience the beauty of living in this world.
“Then they will cry, “Can we be allowed more time?” Qur’an 26:203
This is what those that deny the message of Islam will go through at the time of death. To avoid begging for an impossible respite, take advantage of the opportunity before you to accept Islam and learn about it.
“Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on?” Qur’an 26:204
This is addressed to the polytheists who are opposed to Islamic Monotheism.
“Imagine ˹O Prophet˺ if We allowed them enjoyment for years,” Qur’an 26:205
Some are given 80 years, some 90 and some 100 in luxury and enjoyment but unfortunately fail to accept Islam. This is one of the most wretched persons. May Allah protect our Iman and guide them.
“And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised,” Qur’an 26:206
After spending many years in enjoyment as a non-Muslim, an everlasting punishment replaces that temporary enjoyment.
Qur’an gives you all that you need to attain salvation.
“would that enjoyment be of any benefit to them ˹at all˺? Qur’an 26:207
All the enjoyment that a non-Muslim takes delight in will amount to a zero behind decimal point when he is faced with death in a state of disbelief.
Think of the richest non-Muslim, his wealth or throne will mean nothing at the time of death when faced with the punishment for not accepting Islam. This is not a fairy tale, this is factual. We pray, the non-Muslims will pause and reflect for once on the core message of Islam.
“We have never destroyed a society without warners.” Qur’an 26:208
“to remind ˹them˺, for We would never wrong ˹anyone˺.” Qur’an 26:209
“It was not the devils who brought this ˹Quran˺ down:” Qur’an 26:210
“Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it).” Qur’an 26:211
“for they are strictly barred from ˹even˺ overhearing ˹it˺.” Qur’an 26:212
“So do not ever call upon any other god besides Allah, or you will be one of the punished.” Qur’an 26:213
Not Jesus, not an Angel not Nyass, not Tijjani not Jelani.
There is no better speech than Qur’an. Read it, reflect on it, put it into practice and invite others to it.
May Allah brighten our lives with the light of Qur’an.
