Commissioner Bello emphasized how critical it is to move forward with the permanent site-building of the Oil and Gas Academy. His Excellency, the Governor, expressed concerns about the Academy’s current interim operations at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP) in Bauchi and emphasized the need to move quickly with the planned construction.

Commissioner Bello emphasized during the debate that “the construction of the Oil and Gas Academy’s permanent site stands as a cornerstone in our commitment to bolstering expertise within the oil and gas industry.” This program supports the governor’s goal of raising educational standards and encouraging the use of specialist talents in the industry.

Following the engagement, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the State House Committee on Mines and Power, chaired by Honorable Bello Sarkin Jadori, agreed to carefully examine and take into account the suggested budgetary allocation. This cooperative endeavor is a determined attempt to move Bauchi State’s resource sector in the direction of greater dynamism and sustainability.
