Bauchi Is One of The Most Peaceful States, And We Will Work With The Government To Keep It That Way — IGP
The Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force, Kayode Egbetokun, has praised Bauchi as one of Nigeria’s most harmonious states, reaffirming the NPF’s commitment to assisting the state government in keeping the peace.
IGP Egbetokun made this known today during a visit to Governor Bala Mohammed at Bauchi Government House, where he praised the governor for his dedication to protecting lives and property, providing citizens with democratic dividends, and supporting the Force.
He did, however, emphasize that the current Police leadership will build the Special Intervention Squad (SIS) in all states of the federation, beginning with ten pilot states, including Bauchi, and urged residents to support cops by continuing to follow the law.
According to IGP Kayode, the SIS will be carefully recruited, monitored, trained, equipped, and motivated because they will not be involved in routine patrols but rather on a mission to respond to any crises.
While spending Valentine’s Day with Nigerians, the IGP reaffirmed the Nigeria Police’s commitment to protecting lives and the rule of law, adding that with the formation of the SIS, the days of bandits and other criminals terrorizing communities are over.
Responding, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed called the IGP a unifier and patriot whose pedigree is unquestionably predestined and praised him for bringing in innovation, knowledge, strategy, good governance, and allocation.
Mohammed praised the NPF for serving as a pioneer in security architecture, underlining the significance of effective leadership recruiting in Nigeria.
