Governor Bala Unveils Bold Plan: Collaborating For A Transformed Judiciary and Vice-Free Society

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, highlighted the crucial need for collaboration between the executive and judiciary to reform the legal system, emphasizing its vital role in society.

During his attendance at the 2023/2024 Commencement Ceremony at the High Court Complex in Bauchi, Governor Bala expressed his commitment to intensifying efforts by collaborating with security agencies and stakeholders.

This collaboration aims to bolster state security and foster economic growth for the benefit of the citizens.

Governor Bala acknowledged the exceptional performance and contributions of Sharia Court judges, magistrates, and the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA). He reiterated his administration’s dedication to addressing congestion in correctional centers across the state.

Governor Bala highlighted past support to the judiciary, such as providing vehicles to judges and renovating the High Court Complex. He affirmed his commitment to ensuring the swift dispensation of justice, embracing modern technology, and implementing a case management system.

Governor Bala outlined additional initiatives, including promoting equal access to justice, timely appointments and promotions for judicial officers, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to enhance information sharing.

The Bauchi State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, and the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Dr. Ibrahim Danjuma, separately commended Governor Bala for his outstanding performance, substantial support to the judiciary, and improvements in welfare for members.

They also appreciated the annual support and the renovation of the NBA secretariat under his leadership.
