Tinubu/Shettima women campaign donated to Flood Area
The Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campain Team yesterday donated N20 million, food and essential items to flood victims in Yobe State. The delegation was led by the chairperson, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
Senator Tinubu sympathized with the victims and prayed that Almighty God averts a recurrence, and made a presentation of N20 million, with which 400 victims will be supported with 50,000 Naira each to enable them recapitalize their businesses.
She also presented the food and household items sent by the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari.
HE Mai Mala Buni, appreciated the team for the visit and donations. He stressed that the donated cash and food items will go a long way in bringing succour to the victims.
The delegation also paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Damaturu, Alhaji Shehu Hashimi Ibn El-Kanemi II, who recently lost his son, Abba Sadiq Shehu Hashimi.
