SERAP To Sue President Buhari Over Illegal Pipelines

SERAP to sue Buhari’s Administration On the 9th October 2022, the Socio Economic Rights and accountability project Agency has posted on Twitter that they are suing the current government over illegal oil pipelines discovery.

According to SERAP official Twitter handle “We’re suing the Buhari administration over the discovery of illegal oil pipelines, to compel it to name those responsible for the plundering of the country’s oil wealth, bring them to justice, and recover the proceeds of crime”.

These has brought reactions from Nigerians asking the agency to bring a proof of the won cases they have so far.

In another post on Twitter, HE. Governor Nasiru Elrufai has also reacted to the SERAP tweet, said “@SERAPNigeria PMB should have given you guys the first-in-history national honor of GCBBFR – Grand Clowns and Busy-Bodies of the Federal Republic!! Your thoughtless words and ineffective actions have earned the recognition!!”.

The National Industrial Court, NIC, sitting in Abuja, yesterday, ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to call off its seven-month-old strike.

But ASUU in a swift reaction said it would appeal the ruling today, just as the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, expressed satisfaction with the order of the court, saying students had been the major victims of the strike.
