Poonam Sinha is an Indian politician who began her career as an actress and fashion model. Earlier in her career, when she worked in Hindi films, she was known by her screen name, Komal.
She competed for and won the title of Miss Young India in 1968. Shatrughna Sinha, the actor and politician, is her life partner.
In addition to her acting career, she has produced two films and played leading roles in Hindi films.
