Deputy Speaker Urges Military Intervention and Legal Action

Pwamwakeno Mackondo, the Deputy Speaker of the Adamawa House of Assembly and a representative of the Numan constituency, confirmed the tragic incident, stating that seven people from his constituency had lost their lives, while several others were left in critical condition.

He expressed his deep sorrow over the loss and emphasized the urgent need for action to prevent further bloodshed.

Mackondo has called on military operatives to step up efforts in safeguarding the people of the area from these recurring attacks.

He also highlighted the need for legal measures, specifically urging authorities to focus on suspected herdsmen who have been linked to several violent incidents in the region.

“The people of Numan have suffered too much. These attacks have been going on for far too long, and it’s time for the military to take a more aggressive stance in protecting our communities,” Mackondo stated.
