An MSc student of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Godwin Agaba Ochube has revealed that Buhari’s Administration is not a total failure by sighting and insinuating the Pros and cons objectively as he claimed.

In his post, he said “Objectively, you can’t say Buhari is a total failure as there are parts where he did well. Especially in terms of connecting roads and bridges to different African countries. That’s an economically smart move. Also, the second Niger Bridge, Owego bridge, and a host of other projects are quite commendable.

However, he failed with his woke economic policies that renders all his efforts useless. The economic base as Karl Marx said is the sub-structure that defines and determines the direction of the entire structure.

His policy of closing the border at a time when he should have invested first before closing it is bad, and then to complicate it, he opened it when we have survived the poverty and effects when rice mills are spanning up by force. He jeopardized himself and that became the root cause of the inflation. To worsen it, he borrowed majorly for consumption instead of productive enterprises.

That’s why we are agitating for a smarter president. His decision to sell off NNPC came too late, had it been it when Atiku suggested it in 2019, we would have been the greatest beneficiary of the Ukraine – Russia fallout.”

He continued;

“Those refineries and sectors would have been up and running before Dangote open his own to complement their efforts. But No he delayed it, and even when he did, he gave out the top management to his kinsmen and people who have zero knowledge of how the sector works.

We need a smart money-making personality like Atiku Abubakar, you may not like him but he has a blueprint of what it takes to make the country works. Only if Nigerians can read and understand the policies he has presented. Not to judge on the basis of a south-to-north dichotomy but on the basis of competence.

Back to our discussion, Buhari is a total failure on the basis of corruption, security, international relations, and economy”.
