Nigerian Man Arrives in Saudi Arabia on a Bicycle After a Long Journey
Aliyu Obobo fulfills his dream of reaching Saudi Arabia by pedal power, overcoming border closures, skepticism, and visa hurdles.
In a remarkable story of determination, faith, and resilience, a Nigerian man, Aliyu Obobo, has successfully arrived in Saudi Arabia, completing an extraordinary journey from Jos, Nigeria, on a bicycle.
Obobo began his ambitious trip before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused multiple international borders to close.
The journey was suspended midway, leaving him stranded for months. But that didn’t stop him.
After restrictions were lifted, he resumed the trip and continued pushing forward.
His journey took him through several countries, and at one point, he stayed in Sudan under the care of the Nigerian Embassy while sorting out his visa and other travel documentation.
On December 8th, 2022, Obobo finally reached his destination in Saudi Arabia: a moment he had envisioned for years.
His determination in the face of doubt, discouragement, and difficult circumstances has now paid off.
According to Bashir Gazaki, who closely followed the journey, many people questioned the updates and even discouraged Obobo from continuing. But he remained focused.
“Alhamdulillah, he has finally fulfilled his DREAM. Congratulations!” – Gazaki shared.
A Journey Marked by Grit
Aliyu’s voyage wasn’t just a physical feat; it was a testament to the human spirit.
What started as a solo ambition became a symbol of perseverance that inspired many who followed his story online.
Even in the face of personal risk and logistical setbacks, he remained undeterred.
