Nuhu Abdullahi Life is more than just being educated
Nuhu Abdullahi: I was born in Lagos, but I attended basic and high school in Kebbi State. I eventually relocated to Kano State, where I completed my secondary education at Kano Teachers College (KTC).
I eventually attended Kano State College of Art, Science, and Remedial Studies, where I received a diploma in English and Hausa education.
I also studied mass communication at the Aminu Kano College of Legal Studies in Kano.
I have a diploma in Film and TV production from North-West University and am currently an undergraduate at Bayero University Kano, where I am pursuing a degree in Education.
I was so eager to gain an education since, in addition to being my family’s wish, I had always wanted to learn both Western and Islamic subjects.
However, my parents encouraged me, and I realized at a young age that with education, the sky is the limit in anything one chooses to pursue.
Later in life, I recognized that life is more than just being educated, and it dawned on me that I needed to develop a way to become accountable and responsive to my requirements by becoming self-sufficient.
However, I have been informed on numerous occasions that I can make a life by making movies because of the emotional attachment I experience when viewing them.
At some point, I decided to try my hand in the sector, so I sought funding and began working as a producer.
With limited funds, I made my debut film, ‘Fulanin Asali’, which became a hit and provided me with the necessary push. I went on to make another popular film, ‘Mujarrabi’, followed by ‘Kuskurena’.
I entered the film industry as a businessman who had invested in the field and anticipated to profit from his investment.
Along the way, I met with one of Kannywood’s greatest film directors, who told me I had some acting talent.
He suggested I start acting because I shouldn’t limit myself to movie creation alone. I informed him that I needed to get my family’s permission first, and fortunately, it was granted.
Even though these are two distinct parts of film production, I have not found many obstacles. First, as an actor, it was not difficult since I was under the supervision of one of the best Hausa movie directors of our time, Malam Aminu Saira, and second, I was a producer before meeting Aminu Saira.
However, the most difficult obstacle came when I first appeared on set as an actress. I kept thinking, ‘Are you sure you can do this?’ I was perplexed because my role was significant in the film ‘As’habul-Kahfi’.
I played Tamlika, the son of the King of Baihan, and to God be the glory, we succeeded.
I believe the film As’habul-Kahfi helped me get into the Hausa film industry as an actor. After the film, I started getting offers for roles in other films.
Many people told me that they admired my acting ability and would like me to star in their films.
That is how I landed the lead role in my breakout film, KaninMiji. I also had roles in films such as Gaba da gabanta, Farin Dare, GidanSoja, A bakinaurenki, and many others.
Following As’habul-Kahfi, I was offered approximately thirteen movie roles, all of which were said to have great expectations.
I played the lead in both ‘A Bakinaurenki’ and ‘Zumako Madaci’. ‘Wata Mafita’ is my latest film, which will be released soon.
It was previously rumored that I wanted to marry actress Fati Washa or that we were having an affair. Whatever it was, the underlying issue here is that I admire her as an actor who knows her stuff in the field.
Fati is one of the most disciplined actresses I’ve worked with; she respects everyone and always follows instructions. Even though we are not in a relationship, I like her.
I feel that criticism, when done objectively, is a great method of challenging us to put more effort into what we do.
However, I feel that if you are engaged in something you believe is worthwhile and discover that no one cares about what you are doing, abandoning that item is probably the best option.
I enjoy being myself, as a free-spirited guy who loves what his faith demands and despises what his religion despises.
I am still unmarried and looking for a wife who is God-fearing and straightforward, and who will accept me for who I am rather than what I am.
My goal is to create a world-class Hausa film that can be shown anywhere in the globe – one that meets all standards.
