Born on March 23, 1994, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known by his stage name Mayorkun, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and pianist. The singer found him on Twitter after he posted a version of Davido’s song “The Money”.

On March 23, 1994, in Osun State, Nigeria, Mayorkun was born. Born into a family of entertainers, he is the first of three children. His father is an artist and film producer, while his mother is an actress in Nollywood. Mayorkun claims that he “learned the rudiments of music” while in the choir at a very young age. In the first ten days, the song’s video received one million views. Mayorkun has several singles to his credit, including Mama, Yawa, Sade, and Che Che. In advance of his first studio album, “The Mayor of Lagos,” he released the songs “Posh” and “Fantasy,” featuring Olu Maintain, in October 2018.[16] November 16, 2018, saw the release of the Lagos Mayor. It debuted on the Billboard World Albums chart on December 1, 2018, reaching a high position of number 15.
He was one of the performers lined up for the 2020 Vanguard Personality Awards at the Convention Center of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Other artists on the schedule were Timaya, Tekno, and plenty of others.
The Mayor of Lagos concert
In 2017, Mayorkun started a national tour that took him to more than 35 schools With “The Mayor of Lagos,” his debut headlining performance in Lagos, he brought 2017 to a close. In 2018, the Mayor of Lagos concert traveled to the federal capital territory of Abuja as well as the city of Ibadan. A Lagos edition’s release date was also disclosed.
