Pavithra Jayaram Biography
Pavithra Jayaram is an Indian television actress who primarily appears in the Telugu and Kannada television industries. She was born on April 14th, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Pavithra’s acting career began in 2009 with the Kannada television series ‘Jokali’.
She later appeared in other serials, including Robo Family, Gaalipata, Chandra Chakori, Ee Bandhana, Gokuladalli Seethe, Vaishnavi, Gundyana Hendthi, Neeli, Parinaya, Vidya Vinayaka, Radha Ramana, Mangala Gowri Maduve, and Sevanthi.
Pavithra made her Telugu television debut in 2018 with the serial ‘Ninne Pelladatha’. She is now appearing in the serials Trinayani and Swarna Palace.
In between, she appeared in several films, including BucchiNaidu Kandriga (Telugu), Melobba Mayavi (Kannada), and Manjari (Kannada).
Pavithra Jayaram’s Personal Life
Ashwathy Kurup was the second of three children born to Ramachandra Kurup and Padma Bai in Thiruvalla.
Her father is from Champakulam, Alappuzha, while her mother is from Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla. She has an older sister, Jyothi, and a younger sister, Deepthi (dead).
She received her initial education at Devaswom Board Higher Secondary School in Thiruvalla. Her mother was a math teacher at the same school she studied in.
She obtained a Pre-degree from NSS Hindu College in Changanassery.
Director Lenin Rajendran discovered her here and cast her as the lead in an unreleased film.
She then acted in her first film, Vivahitare Itihile (1986), directed by Balachandra Menon, at the age of 16.
Parvathy met her future husband Jayaram on the set of Aparan at Udaya Studios in Alappuzha in 1988.
Following her marriage on September 7, 1992, Parvathy ceased acting and later stated that she had no regrets.
“One partner must sacrifice their career; else, it will be difficult to raise the children appropriately.
If the husband earns a high wage, why should the woman work?”
The couple has two children: Kalidas Jayaram (b. 1993) and Malavika (b. 1996).
Kalidas Jayaram got the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in the film Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum (2003), co-starring with his father, Jayaram.
She currently resides in Valasaravakkam, Tamil Nadu, with her family.
