Born on October 31, 1986, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, better known by his stage name Iyanya, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He became well-known after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa. His breakthrough studio album, My Story, was released in 2009 and featured the singles “No Time” and “Love Truly.” In 2011, Iyanya and Ubi Franklin co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group.

In February 2013, he released Desire, his second studio album. The singles “Kukere”, “Ur Waist”, “Flavour”, “Sexy Mama”, and “Jombolo” backed it. At the 2013 Headies, he took home the Artist of the Year trophy. Iyanya revealed on Instagram in October 2016 that he had inked a record contract with Mavin Records.
