Amoo began playing youth football at Brightville Academy shortly after his birth in Ibadan. He came to Lagos when he was a teenager to join Sidos FC.

Hammarby IF
2020
Amoo signed a four-year contract to transfer to Swedish team Hammarby IF on June 8, 2020, just a few days after turning 18 years old.He reportedly declined moves to Milan and Monaco throughout the process. On September 14, Amoo made his Allsvenskan debut in a match against Helsingborgs IF that ended in a 2-2 tie at home.Amoo’s first professional goals for Hammarby IF came on November 10 in a 5-0 victory over FC Gute in the Svenska Cupen, the top domestic cup.
2021
Following the departure of Alexander Kaanikli in 2021, Amoo made a name for himself as Hammarby’s consistent starter. On March 7, he assisted his team in advancing to the quarterfinals of the Svenska Cupen with a long-range goal against rival AIK in a 3-2 home victory. In a 2-0 home victory over Mjällby AIF on April 17, Amoo scored his first league goal for the team in the Allsvenskan. Amoo and Hammarby won the 2020–21 Svenska Cupen on May 30 by defeating BK Häcken 5–4 on penalties (after a scoreless draw in regulation).
