RT. Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi Family, Education, and Background

To the extremely rural family of six brothers and two sisters, Mallam Adamu and Mallama Hauwa’u.

His father is currently the imam of the local mosque and served as the community’s Qur’anic tutor back then. With his father’s guidance and instruction,

Hon. Gagdi obtained his education in Islam. He instilled in him the virtues of simplicity and kindness. kindness, modesty, and a humane love

Hon. Yusuf Gagdi had his primary education at LEA Central Primary School in Gum-Gagdi before enrolling in GSS Gagdi for his junior secondary school.

He transferred to GSS Dengi, where he finished his senior secondary school and obtained his diploma in 1999, as there wasn’t an SSCE facility at the time.

When he first moved to GSS Dengi, he went to the local government’s seat. a reflection of his humble and bucolic upbringing.

Gagdi was admitted to FCE Pankshin in 2001. All that was left when he returned was God’s mercy, a few articles of clothes, and a tiny quantity of crushed maize flour! Not even having the money to book a room.

That year, he took solace in the security room located at the school gate.

These challenges have a big impact on Hon Gagdi’s perspective and manner of thinking.

Due to his challenging childhood, he is now incredibly giving. Thus, he is aware of what it is to be impoverished.

He overcame his early misfortunes and the challenges he encountered at FCE Pankshin to become one of the most vibrant and outstanding head judges of the student union at the institution.

Rather than going home with his NCE, he chooses to move up to Jos.

Because of his intelligence, diligence, devotion, and loyalty, he had a close relationship with the late Rt. Hon. Usman Zumunta Musa, the member of his district who served as Deputy Speaker at the time.

The bond that formed between a father and son as their relationship expanded to include more than just a personal assistant.

Gagdi’s desire to continue his studies drove him to enroll at the University of Jos. He graduated with a PGD in conflict management, an MSc in peace and conflict management, and a BSc (Ed) in economics from that institution.

Is presently working on a PhD at Nasarawa State University, where she does research in the fields of security and peace.

Equipped with his 2004 NCE, he chooses not to be a cowardly and slothful visitor to Jos, instead choosing to take action against the typical grievances over joblessness.

To finance his degree studies, he worked as a PTA teacher around Jos and also fulfilled the roles of godson, mentee, and assistant to the late Usman Zumunta.

That’s when the upward trend begins.

Rt. Hon. Gagdi was assigned to the Plateau State Teacher’s Service Commission before starting his teaching career at GSS Anguwan Rogo.

Later on, he was designated to work in the head of the service’s office as the late Godfrey Mamzhi’s Personal Assistant (PA).

Rt. Hon. Gagdi has always led a devoted and helpful life. He did it in the same manner that he handled these two remarkable individuals, the late Hon. Usman Zumunta Musa and the late Godfrey Mazhi (may their souls rest in peace forever, Amen).

While employed at the office of the head of the service, he helped a great number of people—mostly young people his age—from all over the state obtain positions in the state civil service during several recruitment and replacement exercises that were conducted at the time.

At the time, he placed more importance on finding opportunities for his friends and acquaintances across the state to be placed in jobs than on finding a way to pay for outings with pals. At the time, he was a young man in his twenties.

Thus, his enthusiasm for generating employment and his outlook on job opportunities do not begin today. It has always been a feature of his personality.

His time in the state civil service was short-lived as he soon realized that politics would be a better platform for serving his community than the civil service.

He freely departed from the administration and joined the political movement. (This bulletin’s second series will look at the political path.)

He is blissfully married to Hajiya Maryam and Jamimah Yusuf Gagdi, and together they have five children.
