Man United Players Reportedly Blame Cristiano Ronaldo for Poor Team Morale

Man United Players Reportedly Blame Cristiano Ronaldo for Poor Team Morale

Despite his legendary status and goal-scoring pedigree, Cristiano Ronaldo found himself at the center of unrest at Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, once seen as the savior of United’s attack, is reportedly being blamed by some teammates for the squad’s low morale.

From Hero to Headache?

Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford last season brought hope, goals, and headlines.

He ended the campaign as United’s top scorer and kept the team competitive when others faltered.

But things have changed.

Now, some Manchester United players are growing frustrated with Ronaldo’s attitude, especially around training and behind-the-scenes interactions.

According to sources close to the dressing room, a number of squad members believe Ronaldo’s presence and his ongoing transfer saga are negatively impacting the team’s spirit.

“It’s really starting to annoy a lot of players now,” one insider told The Sun. “He does have his allies, but many are fed up with how he’s going about things.”

Ronaldo Wants Out, But United Won’t Budge

The tension stems largely from Ronaldo’s desire to leave the club.

After United failed to qualify for the Champions League, Ronaldo expected to be allowed to move elsewhere, a condition he claims was part of a gentleman’s agreement with the club.

However, United’s hierarchy, led by the Glazers, has refused to let him go, despite his agent Jorge Mendes reportedly lining up a deal with another club.

The standoff has created a rift, not only between Ronaldo and management but also within the squad.

Missed Tours, Cold Shoulders, and Dressing Room Divide

Ronaldo skipped the club’s pre-season tour, citing family reasons, only to rejoin the squad later and play a half against Rayo Vallecano before leaving the stadium before the match ended.

That move drew criticism from manager Erik ten Hag, who labeled the behavior “unacceptable.”

The new boss responded by benching Ronaldo for the Premier League opener against Brighton.

Ronaldo came on in the second half but couldn’t prevent a 2-1 defeat.

With tensions mounting and results lagging, fans and pundits are wondering if Ronaldo’s time at United has turned into a burden rather than a blessing.

Arnautovic U-Turn Adds to Transfer Turmoil

Adding fuel to the fire, Manchester United recently pulled out of a controversial bid to sign Marko Arnautovic from Bologna after fan backlash and a rejected £7.6 million offer.

The failed move only emphasizes the confusion surrounding United’s transfer strategy and increases pressure on the club to resolve the Ronaldo situation.
