Christian Nodal Early life
Cristina Silvia Nodal and Jaime González, two musicians, gave birth to and reared Christian Nodal in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico. In an interview with El Pas, Nodal claimed that when he was a little child, his grandfather Ramón would teach him how to make rhyming poetry on a napkin. On their “Jaripeo Sin Fronteras” Jaripeo tour in 2018, Nodal traveled with Mexican entertainer Pepe Aguilar, his brother Antonio Aguilar Jr., his daughter ngela Aguilar, and their son Leonardo Aguilar. Ngela claims that Pepe invited Nodal to open the show.
Ahora, Nodal’s second studio album, was released in May 2019. In cooperation with Mexican rapper Gera MX, Nodal released the single “Botella Tras Botella” in April 2021. The song peaked at numbers three and nine on the Billboard Global 200, respectively, and was Nodal’s highest-peaking entry on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
