Salau Aliu Olayiwola, well known by his stage name, Testimony Jaga, a Nigerian Fuji, afro-pop recording, and live gospel performer, was born on March 9th, 1983. He began his gospel musical career with Loveworld Records under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Testimony Release of the song “Igara” set the stage for Jaga’s gospel career and earned him “Artist of the Year” honors at the 2019 LIMA Awards. His songs are primarily written in Yoruba and English.

On March 9, 1983, Salau Aliu Olayiwola was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, to a father who had twenty-seven children through six women. He was the twenty-second child and an inhabitant of Ijebu-Remo in the state of Ogun. He developed a passion for music from a young age. He attended O and A Nursery and Primary School in Ogun State for his early schooling, and Speed Ladded School for his secondary education. He left the University of Lagos to focus only on music because he was interested in it.

Testimony In 2012, after ceasing to release secular music, Jaga began his career as a gospel performer. He founded the Street Gospel Movement,[6] a ministry that uses music and social welfare work as a means of sharing the gospel with those on Lagos’s streets.

Testimony Jaga rose to fame following the release of his debut gospel track, “Igara,” in 2018, which earned him the “Artist of the Year” award at LIMA 2019. He has published more singles like Take it and Jehovah Doer among others. He writes and sings his songs in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin. Along with other gospel musical performers including Mike Abdul, Password, Timi Phoenix, Elijah Daniel, Ologodidan, and others, he has collaborated with gospel artists like Akporo, Frank Edwards, Israel Strong, and others.

Testimony Jaga was introduced as Revolution Plus Property’s brand ambassador on July 20, 2019.[9]On January 28, 2022, he was also introduced as a brand ambassador for Agil Express.

Testimony In November 2021, Jaga began his “Testimony Jaga Live in UK” media tour, which was his first significant media tour in the United Kingdom.

Testimony Jaga was detained in 2011 together with a number of other suspects and imprisoned for allegedly stealing a man’s automobile from his home in Lagos during the claimed car robbery. This incident occurred during the early stages of Testimony Jaga’s musical career. He was cleared of all allegations against him by the magistrate court and released four months later, following an investigation.
