Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu (born December 17, 1990), also known as Tekno, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer.
His song “Enjoy” closed an episode of the Emmy-winning television series Ted Lasso (Season Three, Episode Seven).

Tekno Early Life and Education
Kelechi is from Ivo Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, southeastern Nigeria.
He was born in Bauchi State to a family of six, including five boys and one girl.
Because his father was a member of the Nigerian Army, he was reared in a variety of locations throughout the country, including Nasarawa State, Kaduna (the capital city of Kaduna State), and Abuja.
At the age of eight, Tekno Miles joined a music school, where he learned and mastered the fundamentals of playing the piano and guitar.
He is the elder brother of another Nigerian musical act: Spotless.
Tekno Music Career
Tekno Miles was first signed with K-Money Entertainment. The imprint released his breakout track, “Holiday”.
With featured vocals by Davido, “Holiday” was warmly embraced and gained tremendous attention.
Tekno Miles was recognized by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event in Abuja in 2012, after receiving a standing ovation for his remix of Ice Prince’s “Oleku,” “Onye Ne Kwu.”
At the same event, he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklin, the manager of Made Men Music Group, and the two became friends. Ubi and Iyanya finally urged Tekno Miles to go to Lagos to develop his music career.
On October 5, 2013, he signed a recording contract with Made Men Music Group (MMMG), under which he recorded singles including “Dance” and “Anything”.
These singles got him a nomination for the “Best New Act of the Year” category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Tekno Miles released his smash track “Duro” on June 18, 2015, produced by DJ Coublon.
“Duro” was well welcomed in both Africa and the United States.
A remix featuring Phyno and Flavour N’abania was released on November 16, 2015.
It topped numerous Nigerian charts and reached number five on Capital XTRA’s Afrobeats Chart: Top 10 for September 2015.
Tekno Miles released the single “Wash” on November 20, 2015.
DJ Coublon produced the song, while AJE Filmworks directed the video.
On December 27, 2016, Billboard listed Tekno as one of the top ten hip-hop and R&B performers to watch in the United States in 2017.
Tekno, popularly known as the Pana master, changed his name to Big Tek.
In 2016, Elton John featured Tekno’s song ‘Diana’ on an episode of his Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music.
However, on October 13, 2017, DJ Cuppy included Tekno in a song titled Green Light, which was DJ Cuppy’s official debut single.
On December 12, 2017, Canadian rapper Drake posted photographs of himself with Tekno on his Instagram feed, captioned “Tekkk time.”
On August 10, 2018, American singer Ciara collaborated with Tekno on the song “Freak Me.” Tekno announced the song’s release and shared the cover art on his Instagram account, @teknoofficial, on Friday.
On August 15, 2019, Tekno was named as one of the producers of ‘Won’t Be Late’ by Swae Lee featuring Drake.
Tekno inked a distribution contract in June 2018 with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), a part of Universal Music Group in charge of West Africa, as well as Island Records in the UK.
In July 2019, Tekno was featured on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack on the song “Don’t Jealous Me”
Tekno unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated debut album, Old Romance, on December 6, 2020.
In 2022, he appeared in Kizz Daniel’s ‘Buga’, which became the No. 1 shazamed song that year.
In the same year, Davido stated how Tekno helped revive his career at a critical time when he needed new motivation.

Tekno Onye ne kwu
Tekno met Julius Agwu, an ace comedian who became interested in him when he performed his remix of Ice Prince’s Oleku, Onye Ne Kwu, at an Abuja event.
At the same gathering in Abuja, he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn, the manager of the Made Men Music Group record company.
The pair also expressed interest in him and pushed him to relocate to Lagos to pursue his musical career.

Made Men Music Group (MMMG) is a Nigeria-based musical label. Ubi Franklin is the CEO of MMMG, while Iyanya is a significant artist on the label.
Tekno joined this record label in October 2013.
He joined the label and released songs including Dance and Anything. In 2014, the band also published a compilation CD called The Evolution.
Other artists signed to the Made Men Music Group include Selebobo, Emma Nyra, and Baci.

Tekno released another single, Duro, on June 18, 2015.
