Fikile Mthwalo, a South African actress, screenwriter, and entrepreneur, was born in Lesotho on April 13, 1989. Her most well-known roles have been in the hit serials It’s Complicated and Gold Diggers and Isidingo

Actor Fikile Mthwalo, who was born in Lesotho, gained notoriety in 1998 when he appeared as “Zak” in the popular South African series Isidingo. She later appeared in two seasons of Mzansi Magic’s It’s Complicated (2015) and went on to become a series regular on E-TV’s “Gold Diggers”. Fikile’s passion lies in acting, but she also does original art, such the 2018 web series IT Bae, which follows women of color in the IT industry.

Fikile is also the creator of the environmentally friendly disposable glove company Glubbs. As part of American Express’s Founders of Change initiative, which aims to give 100 black female entrepreneurs financial and educational support, Glubbs was awarded a grant and a mentorship prize.

Fikile earned a BA in Film and Video Production from the University of Cape Town. The Tisch School of the Arts at NYU awarded her an MFA in acting. Fikile resides in South Africa and travels frequently between Los Angeles and New York.

Fikile and Atandwa divorced peacefully in 2023 due to irreconcilable differences, having separated in 2019.

In 2012, Fikile graduated with honors from the University of Cape Town (UCT) with a bachelor’s degree in film and video production. She received full scholarship funding in 2015 to enroll in the Grad Acting Program at New York University (NYU). She earned a Master of Fine Arts in acting in 2018.

Her acting career began with the well-known soap series Isidingo. She advanced to the final 24 in a Channel O “O Access Presenter Search” competition. Her first big role on television came in 2015 when she appeared in the serial It’s Complicated as “Ipeleng.” She also appeared in a number of television ads for Metropolitan, PEP, Omo, Shoprite, Etiselat Nigeria, Ponds, Hi-Malt Nigeria, and Nivea UK, among others. She then made an appearance as “Hlengiwe” in the telenovela Gold Diggers. At the moment, Fikile resides primarily in Los Angeles and New York.
