Who won Grammys for 2024?

Taylor Swift won Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards for her album “Midnights,” earning her four victories in that category during her career, the most by any artist.

Swift also won Best Pop Vocal Album, and during her victory speech, she astonished the crowd by revealing that her next album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” will be released on April 19.

SZA received the most nominations of any artist this year, with nine, including album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. Despite having 15 Grammy nominations before this year’s picks, her only win came on Sunday for best pop duo/group performance in 2022 for “Kiss Me More.” She rapidly grabbed more wins this year, including one for best R&B song early in the show.

The Grammy Awards were once again hosted at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena and broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+. Trevor Noah, a comedian and former “The Daily Show” anchor, will host the ceremony for the fourth time in a row.

Several other awards were presented before the start of the ceremony, including the new category of best pop dance recording, which won to Kylie Minogue for her song “Padam Padam.” The Beatles won Best Music Video for “I’m Only Sleeping,” their first Grammy since 1997.

Tyla won the Grammy for best African music performance in the category’s inaugural year with her song “Water.”

SZA received her second career-best pop duo/group performance win for “Ghost in the Machine,” joining Phoebe Bridgers, who won best alternative music album with her band Boygenius.

Killer Mike was nominated for three awards: Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album. He won all three. He was then spotted handcuffed and being led out of the event by many police officers.

Joni Mitchell, 80, won her 10th Grammy for Best Folk Album for “Live at Newport” and gave an emotional performance of “Both Sides, Now.” It was her debut Grammy performance and a rare appearance following her recuperation from a brain aneurysm in 2015.

While the Oscars are still a few weeks away, “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” won honors on Sunday for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Scoring Music for Visual Media, respectively. Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas both won Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for their song “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie.”
