When he performed a version of Di’Ja’s song “Awww” in 2015, Mavin CEO Don Jazzy took notice. Released in 2015, “Wait for Me” was his debut single. It received a 2016 Headies nomination for Best Alternative Song. He recorded “Start All Over” with Niniola, another competitor from season 6.
