Sinach Biography

Born on March 30, 1972, Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, professionally known as Sinach, is a Nigerian singer, lyricist, and senior worship leader who has been involved in this role for more than 30 years. She is the first singer-songwriter to have 12 straight weeks at the top of the Billboard Christian Songwriter list. She became the first Nigerian to win the Award when her song “Way Maker” won Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards, following three nominations. In 2021, while on tour in the US, she was acknowledged by the US Congress and earned the BMI Song of the Year award.

“I Know Who I Am,” “Great Are You Lord,” “Rejoice,” “He Did It Again,” “Precious Jesus,” “The Name of Jesus,” “This Is My Season,” “Amazing God,” “For This,” “I Stand Amazed,” “Simply Devoted,” and “Jesus is Alive” are just a few of the hit songs she has recorded on her nine studio albums.
