Olive Marie Osmond, a member of the Osmonds, is an American singer, actress, and television host who was born on October 13, 1959. She never held a formal position in her family’s singing group, but in the 1970s and 1980s, she found fame as a country and pop music performer and as a cohost of television variety shows. A cover of the country pop ballad “Paper Roses” is her most well-known song. She and her singer brother Donny Osmond served as hosts of the television variety show Donny & Marie from 1976 to 1979.

Michael, the adopted son of Osmond and Blosil, committed suicide on February 26, 2010. He apparently struggled with depression and addiction, and by the age of 12, he had entered treatment. The results of an autopsy revealed no drug use.

Osmond remarried her first husband, Stephen Lyle Craig, on May 4, 2011, in a private ceremony in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple while still donning her wedding gown from that year. A few months prior to going to their son’s wedding, the couple remarried.

She said in March 2020 that, following her death, she would be leaving her fortune to charity, adding that doing so would be a disservice to her children and that they should instead work to earn their own money.
