Hauwa Waraka The reason why I look like a weed girl

Hausa movie actress, Hauwa Abubakar who is popularly known as Hauwa Waraka, said that she often appears as a bad person because she shows society the effects of bad behavior.

“I am coming out as a whore or a drug addict or a prostitute because I am educating people to avoid being such people”, said Hauwa Waraka, in a special interview with Nasidi Adamu Yahaya

She added, “I have never been a prostitute and I have never had sex with prostitutes, but if I play the role of a prostitute, you say I am an old heiress.”

According to the actress, a woman who comes out as a prostitute should not be seen wearing a hijab. A woman who comes out as a drunkard should not be seen as a good person.

“That’s why you’ll see me breaking indecency in the movie like it’s real. And that’s what it’s supposed to be.”

Hauwa Waraka said that many times she goes to the neighborhood, people say “What kind of pill, weed, or tobacco will they bring me to drink?

They don’t know that I have never taken drugs; by God, I have never taken tobacco. Everything you saw me in a movie”.

When she was asked about the allegations made against gay and lesbian actors, the actress said that there are many beggars among them “as there are even religious scholars, but we should not be paid for it.” ”

She asked people to keep apologizing to them especially considering that they are also people like everyone else.

Hauwa Waraka, who said she wants to get married, added “You can be a BBC reporter if you want me to come out. By God, my marriage will not be expensive. Hey, I’ll make you a six-pack if you want.”

“Even though I know you are afraid of your wife, don’t go home, she won’t open the door for you”… [laughs].

Hauwa Waraka If given the chance, most people will send actresses to hell

Hauwa Abubakar, popularly known as Hauwa Waraka in the northern Nigerian film business, Kannywood, has warned many individuals would take actresses to hell if they were given the chance.

In an interview with the BBC on Thursday, Waraka declared as much, expressing her dismay at the public’s unfavorable perception of Kannywood actresses.

The film actor, who was raised in Kano but was born in Jos, has come under fire for allegedly giving lewd performances in the business.

Because she has portrayed characters who represent some of the vices that Islam forbids, such as prostitution and drug usage, she has frequently faced criticism from certain Muslims in the north.

Gobaran Mata, Kona Gari, Gidan Mata, and Umar Gulma are a few of such films.

The actress claimed that although though she is aware that the kinds of parts she plays are frowned upon by her culture, she chooses to play them because “film is a kind of public enlightenment.”

“To be honest, I don’t hesitate to take on any role,” she remarked. However, I am aware that my culture and religion forbid things like smoking and prostitution.

“But we perform them in films to raise awareness of their impact among people who perform them in real life. We act on them in movies for this reason. We also ask that those who do so cease.

She said that, in contrast to what the general public believes, she is not a drug addict and that, because she believes in God, the Prophet, the Sunnah, angels, the Last Day, and kalimatu shahada, she doesn’t give a damn about what people think of her.

“So, I know that nobody has the key to hell or Paradise. Because I am aware that most people would not take us to Paradise if they had the key to hell because of the way they perceive us.

“People have even said I’m going to hell when my name is mentioned. And I wonder if Paradise or Hell is theirs to own. However, I don’t care since I know who I am and what I do, so I’m not concerned about what other people think of me,” the woman remarked.
