Harris Faulkner’s Early Life
Faulkner was born in Atlanta, Georgia, at Fort McPherson on October 13, 1965.
The facility was home to her father, retired Lieutenant Colonel Bobby R. Harris, an Army Aviator and U.S. Army officer who had served three deployments in Vietnam.
While her father was still a pilot in the US Army, Faulkner grew up in a variety of residences, including a US military station in Stuttgart, West Germany.
Faulkner received a B.A. in mass communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Faulkner began her career as a freelance business journalist at LA Weekly, where she earned $50 for each story.
Before relocating to Greenville, North Carolina, to work as a reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV, Faulkner began her television career as an intern doing manual labor at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles.
Faulkner was an evening anchor for WDAF-TV in Kansas City from 1992 to 2000.
A previous acquaintance who followed Faulkner from North Carolina harassed and stalked her while she was in Kansas City.
Faulkner then went to Minneapolis-Saint Paul to work as an evening anchor for KSTP-TV. In July 2004, she departed the station.
Faulkner began working at Fox News in 2005. Before it was canceled in October 2005, she worked as a correspondent for the A Current Affair revival.
From 2011 to 2017, Faulkner hosted Fox Report Weekend, her first network program as an anchor.

Faulkner filed a $5 million lawsuit against Hasbro in September 2015, alleging that a plastic hamster in the company’s Littlest Pet Shop range was an unapproved use of her name and image.
In October 2016, Hasbro and Faulkner reached a settlement whereby Hasbro agreed to stop making the toy.
