He went on to star in several films, including Fled, Love Jones, The Brothers, How to Be a Player, Getting Played, and Any Given Sunday. He also appears in two episodes of the television series Kenan and Kel. He also voiced Skeeter in the Nickelodeon show Cousin Skeeter.

Bellamy co-starred in the Fox Network television series Fastlane in 2002, alongside Peter Facinelli and Tiffani Thiessen. He also featured frequently as a “roundtable” guest on E!’s late-night discussion show Chelsea Lately. Bellamy hosted the fifth and sixth seasons of NBC’s reality show Last Comic Standing (2007 and 2008). In 2014, he played Councilman Powell in TV Land’s original series Hot in Cleveland. He provided the voice for Marcus Hill, a playable character in the NARC video game’s revised version from 2005.

Bellamy appeared in Kindergarten Cop 2 in 2016 as FBI Agent Sanders, Dolph Lundgren’s partner.
