Iranian singer, rapper, and songwriter AmirHossein Maghsoudloo (Persian: امیرحسٌن مقصودلو; born September 21, 1987) is better known by his stage name, Amir Tataloo (Persian: امیر تتلو). Because of his full-body tattoos and his often outspoken discussions about politics and social issues affecting Iran’s youth, he is one of the country’s most well-known and controversial artists. He was among the first R&B singers in Persian and a member of the first generation of Iranian underground hip-hop artists. He has been detained in Iran after he used social media and his songs to criticize the Iranian government’s record on human rights.
2011 saw the release of Zire Hamkaf, his debut album. He has since put out 21 albums. The Universal Music Group released the album Fereshteh by Amir Tataloo in 2021. Being the first Iranian to work with Universal Music Group, he is unique.
Tataloo spent months in prison after being detained by the Islamic Republic of Iran police on many occasions between 2016 and 2018. Amir Tataloo Early Years
