Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi (born 1953) is a Nigerian Minister of Police Affairs appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 19, 2019.
Dingyadi was born in Dingyadi, Sokoto. He attended Ahmadu Bello University and graduated in 1978.

Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi was born in 1953 in Dingyadi, Sokoto. He completed his secondary education at Government College in Sokoto. Following his secondary education, he enrolled in a two-year study at the School of Basic Studies.
Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi later enrolled at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria and graduated in 1978. He represented the Bodinga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi was previously the Secretary to the Sokoto State Government and Chairman of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) in Abuja.

Some experts have challenged his selection as Minister of Police Affairs, claiming that he lacks security certification.
In a write-up, Ahmed Musa Gidadawa slammed Dingyadi, whose CV contains not a single certificate on security matters but was given the chance to steer the affairs of the Ministry of Police under Buhari’s administration, claiming that every day, gunmen killed dozens of people in a wave of attacks in Sokoto, the home town of the said Minister of Police Affairs Maigari Dingyadi.
In his defense, Bello Abdulazeez stated that as part of Dingyadi’s qualification, when he was a permanent secretary in the Sokoto State civil service in 1991, he was assigned to head the Careers and Special Services Department in the SSG office, where he served as Secretary to the State Security Council and was involved in not only interacting with all security agencies but also assisting in the management of the state’s security.
When appointed as SSG in 1999, he was said to have become a key member of the State Security Council. At the time, he was tasked with assisting the then-governor in managing the state’s security services.
