Azanti Artistry
Office Magazine described his music as a fusion of R&B and Afrobeats rhythms with a hint of trap soul on November 18, 2022.
When asked about his musical influences in 2023, Azanti responds to multimedia journalist Chinonso Ihekire of Guardian Life Magazine.
Musically, Greg, he said. I think Greg is an amazing storyteller and I admire him. When it comes to melody, Chris Brown is it.
I enjoy a lot of rap artists as well. Kanye West, like many storytellers, Jcole. I’m listening to more rap right now.
Throughout my life, I have listened to music by artists such as Wande Coal, Wizkid, and Tope Alabi.
I have therefore listened to music my entire life. But over the last year or two, I’ve been more interested in classic rap.
I just find it fascinating when people who tell complex stories, like JCole, Drake, and Kanye, do it. And I try to think of a way to incorporate that into something unique.
