Amy Beth Schumer, an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director, was born on June 1, 1981. She began performing stand-up comedy in the early 2000s and competed on the NBC reality competition series Last Comic Standing in 2007.

Amy Schumer created, co-produced, co-wrote, and starred in the Comedy Central sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer from 2013 to 2016. For her work, she won a Peabody Award and five Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015.
