Mal Aminu Ado Bayero, CFR (born 21 August 1961) is the 15th Fulani Emir of Kano, representing the Fulani Sullubawa clan.
He came to the throne on March 9, 2020, following the overthrow of his nephew Muhammad Sanusi II by Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He is the Chancellor of the University of Calabar.

Aminu Ado Bayero Early Life and Family
Aminu Ado Bayero was born August 21, 1961. His father, Ado Bayero, served as Emir of Kano from 1963 until 2014, making him the longest-serving emir in Kano’s history.
He is his father’s second eldest son.
His siblings include his eldest brother, Sanusi Ado Bayero, and Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi.
Muhammadu Sanusi II, his father’s grandnephew, succeeded his father as Emir of Kano from 2014 to 2020, when he was deposed by the Kano State Government.

Aminu received an early Islamic education at home, where he learned the Qur’an, polytheism, Islamic jurisprudence, and Hadith (traditions of Muhammad’s actions and sayings).
He attended Kofar Kudu Primary School before moving on to Government College in Birnin Kudu.
He studied mass communication at Bayero University Kano and attended Flying College in Oakland, California.
He completed the one-year required National Youth Service Corps at the Nigeria Television Authority in Makurdi.
