Who is the wife of Maishadda?
Maishadda married Kannywood actress Hassana Muhammad on June 18, 2022.
What is your brief history?
My name is Abubakar Bashir Abdulkarim, better known as Abubakar Bashir Maishadda, I was born in Dala Unguwar Dandishe, I went to nursery school at Shukra International School in Kurna, and from there we returned to Gadon Kaya, where I finished primary and secondary school, then I I graduated from the Foreign Studies course at the North West University in Kano, and then I started working in the film industry.
Where did you get the name Maishadda?
The name Maishadda is the name we use in our house because my father has been in the business of shadda since he was growing up, so the name followed him, after we were born we used the name Maishadda. I also started going to the market to sell clothes, later I returned to the film industry.
What attracted you to start a film business?
When I was very young, in our neighborhood of Dandishe, there was a film called ‘Boda’, in the film there was an actor, Fati Mohammed, at that time there was a migrant called Buda, he was in our line, from here I started drinking. the film industry.
Then movies like ‘Mujadala’, ‘Abin Sirri Ne’, ‘Sabani’ and others made me more interested in the film industry. I woke up until I went to the location to shoot a movie.
I became a filmmaker through Director Hafizu Bello, he was the first person who allowed me to produce a film, but before him, there was Abubakar A.S Maikwai and Musa Maisana’a.
After Hafizu Bello, I started working with my boss Abba Miko Yakasai, I also sat with him and learned some things.
In the film industry, you will see some choose to be actors, and some directors, why did you choose the field of film production?
In the beginning, I did not want to make a film, I started with the manager of the film sponsorship, and later I started to make a film. I started by producing a film called ‘Investigation’, where the film won the ‘Best Indigenous Language African Magic 2015’. I want to produce a film or become a production manager.
How many movies have you produced so far?
From the time I started producing films until now, I have produced at least 20 films. ‘Karfen Nasara’, ‘Ana Dara Ga Dare Ya Yi’, ‘In Search of the King’, ‘This is the Way’, ‘Light and Darkness’, ‘Kalen Dangi’, ‘Kanwar Dubarudu’ and others.
In recent years, the film business has gone backward, but you were producing films at that time, why didn’t you work hard as other filmmakers did in making films?
What I want you to understand is that Allah (SWT) is the Owner of everything, the One who arranges everything when He wants, whenever there is hardship there is ease. When there was a problem in the film industry, that’s when I felt in my heart that I started it because I only made films but in God’s power everything went well. We went to the cinema, and no one was lost. There is a ‘Kalen Dangi’ whose money came back and a lot of profit was made, as well as ‘Maria’, ‘Mujadala’, ‘Hafiz’, and others, and a lot of money was made. So that you know what is being enjoyed now, there is also my film called ‘Hauwa Kulu’ that I will show on the day of Idin Babbar Sallah.
What does the movie ‘Hauwa Kulu’ contain?
He is talking about the effects of rape on children, so I am calling on Hausa movie watchers to come and watch this movie, it is a movie that has never been shown before, there are actors like Ali Nuhu and Hadiza Gabon, etc.
What is your dream in Kannywood?
My dream is to become a big producer in the world, I mean to be a producer not only in Kannywood or Nollywood movies, to make movies that the world will see and appreciate, and to make sure that a great movie is produced.
It is seen that you upload your picture with the hero Hassana Muhammad, and then you say words of love, what is it between you?
She is not only my lover, Hassana is the woman I will marry.
Among the actors you work with, which ones do you enjoy working with the most?
In fact, for every actor you see me working with, I enjoy working with him, because if I don’t have a good understanding of a person, I won’t take myself to him. If I look and see someone who can give me what I want, I will work with him. So any actor you see me working with, male or female, I enjoy working with him.
What challenges are you facing now?
Right now I can say that there are no challenges that I am facing, because things are going exactly as I need, except for a few small things that cannot be missed.
